What I like about being a working Mom

For me, working for pay is a very small amount of what I do.  At the moment most of the emphasis is on being a Mom with less emphasis on the working part.  I really like it this way though.  For me it's really important to be at home with my daughter, but I don't want to completely leave the work force during these childbearing years...I gues it's a way of placating my fear that if I don't have anything to put on my resume for this period of time that I will be penalized later.  So for now I do my work during times when babyjama sleeps, and I'm quite content with that.

You have to do what works for you - sounds like you found a nice balance for now! Good for you.

I am very happy to hear that you & your spouse have the ability to make work a lower priority for you now.

I only took off two weeks after my daughter was born. It was a necessity for me to return to work. I will never do that again! I truely feel like I went back too soon.

Enjoy it for as long as it lasts!
