Honestly, until recently if asked, I would probably answer very little. I work mostly because I have to, not by choice. But I have realized over the past year or so that there are some things that I do enjoy. I like having the break from the kids and being able to converse with adults during the day. I like the fact that there's nobody at home messing up the house all day so less to pick up when I get home at night. I like that my kids have friends to socialize and play with at daycare. And I like the validation I get by being 'good' at something - because I don't always feel like I'm a terribly great mom. Although I wish that part-time or at-home work were an option for me - the full-time schedule does wear on me and the kids a lot.

your
children
is
very

is
something
that
you
take
for
granted
until
you
scarcely
do
it
during
the
day.
That's
a
major
pro
of
working
outside
of
the
home!
I
very
OFTEN
have
to
call
my
Dad
during
the
day
in
order
to
get
some
conversation
other
than
my
own
sing-song
baby
talking
voice
in
:)
