Devil's Advocate

Okay, it's probably because I'm nine months pregnant and nesting...

but I really feel like quitting my job!!  I dream of a job with more flexible hours and fewer hours all together.  I never have the time to get everything done- at the moment the house is a huge mess!  I always come up with new "projects" and never have enough time to finish them!

My mom was a stay-at-home mom when I was growing up and it was so much fun!  I don't feel like I need to be home full time, but I need more time at home!!

I'm several days late on this but I'm hoping you've had a chance to really think it over and figure out what would work for you. Can you get more flexibility out of your work in order to keep the job but be home with the baby? Are there opportunities out there for you to do this in your field? I know that horrible feeling of just wanting out so I hope it all works out for you!

I have definitely (recently) played around with staying home. For many reasons, it is not practical but this doesn't stop me from dreaming ...
I think it's totally normal to want to have some flexibility, espcially right after having a child. I have 6 weeks old at home and i'm very lucky to have flexibility at my work.
