First Week at School -- Separation is Never Easy

Today is the first week that my little tyke will be at school for a full week.  I am going through the withdrawls of being away from her, though I was blessed to get to extend my marternity leave into four months vs. the average six weeks.  Since we now have her first day under our belt, our know that my decision was right and I am blessed to be so close to her if I need to get her in a moments notice.  As a rookie Mom I knew it was going to be hard placing her in school at a such a young age but I look forward to the reward at the end of the day when I can pick her up and see her little smile!  Oh the first of many "Firsts" to be had.

Congratulations - what a huge milestone! It's really tough -- it was for me -- but when you see that they are happy in school or daycare, it makes a huge difference!
