Good Parenting

A message from a colleague that made my day: "My son had 24-hour stomach bug.  He threw up all over himself and his crib last night.  He cried a bit in the middle of the night but then went quiet again so we just figured it was a bad dream or something and left him alone, only to find out in the morning we'd left him to sleep in his own puke!  (Good parenting.)"

I've done that. It was nap time...my oldest was a puker and one afternoon I found her huddled in the corner of the crib in the one little square inch there was no vomit. I felt horrible for days. I don't think I'd feel so bad now!
