Devil's Advocate

Why do I work?

The ideal balance -- at least the balance I long for -- would be teaching half time.  I could job share happily and put more energy into dealing with our disabled child. Unfortunately, I'm the primary breadwinner and the holder of the benefits, so part time work isn't an option. I compromise by fiercely garding my home time and using my sick days and personal days carefully.

This is kind of like my story. I'm the primary breadwinner and recently I am focusing on our two disable son.
