My first-ever job...

My first-ever job was at the Gap. My high school was 1/4 mile from the mall. I was 16 years old, and it was during the Christmas season. It was really just my way of getting out of the house, away from my crazy family. My father used to have to pick me up after 10pm when we were done folding everything in the store. This was when the Gap still sold Levi's jeans and pocket t-shirts in every color. I had those Levi 501's that I bought with my 30% discount well into college. Old habits die hard -- I still fold my jeans the same way. And I never would have guessed that 20 years later I would once again be working in retail!

I worked at a sears store in the clothing departments. I still fold my shirts the way that they did. Sometimes I wish I had one of those handy folding tables though.
