So the doorbell rings this afternoon and I head to the door (logical, no?). Fed Ex Man hands me a box that feels like it's got broken cookies in it. Okaayyy. I'm not expecting anything. I open the box to find a bag inside (a Fed Ex bag) and now it really feels like broken cookies. I open that bag carefully, not sure about what's going to spill out all over my front hall and a letter is on top of two shiny little bags. Attached to the letter is a grubby $10 bill.
Thank you Miranda for being a part of our survey team. Here's money in advance to eat these crackers with your children and fill out our online survey. Please don't eat both bags on the same day (what people? you think I'm a pig?). But do eat as many as you need to in order to complete the questions in our survey. Blah, blah, blah...
Um, survery team? What survey team? I'm supposed to open these random bags of food and feed them to my children just because you sent me 10 bucks?
Then I touch the bags. I turn them over. They have stickers! They have familiar stickers! They are from Annies. There's the little bunny right there on the sticker next to the 'not for sale. sample only' sticker. We LOVE Annies in this house. I've been on their survey team for a couple of years but they only send things via email and always in their name. This was not in their name so it was creepy.
Crackers, we will eat you. And we'll probably love you. And I bet you'll go great with that $10 bottle of wine I'm running out to get.
