My first Surprse

This weekend was amazing. I am well known for messing up surprises from others for me. This was the first surprise from my husband that I did not mess up. It was our 6th anniversary this Saturday and we had planned to go downtown to eat at our favorite seafood restaurant. We left early as our kids had been picked up by my inlaws and were staying the night. This is so wonderful. We haven't had that in 2 yrs. That wasn't even the surprise. My husband had pretended like he was parking in the valet for a hotel and I had been really upset about it because I like to be honest and there was a parking garage not even 20 feet from there. The valet asked if we would be staying and Brian said yes. I looked at him like I was completely embarrased. We were staying though. He had our bag packed and ordered the Romance package at the hotel. There were 6 red roses in a vase, a bottle of champagne, and 6 chocolate covered strawberries to greet me, thenI went to the bedroom and the bed was covered in rose petals in the shape of a heart. We had such a beautiful, much needed break away from reality.
