Lost Job Found

This week, I've lost my job and found a new one.

My orgs contract with the school district has been terminated a month early (which is screwy and messes with my benefits, salary and retirement, most likely).

But I also found a new job at a new school that is a 20 minute walk from home. The walk from home thing is huge given that I have been commuting in LA traffic for at least an hour each way (though since we moved two months ago it has gotten quicker as I have shaved 15 miles off each way) and gas is creeping up on $4/gallon.

 Nevertheless, busy and nervetingling week!

Thanks Nataly and Diane! I'm just relieved to have some of this worked out. Now if I could get the month of May situated, I'd be destressed.

Congrats, Kat. Just like a cat, you've landed on your feet. :) (Corny, yes, but I couldn't resist.) Sounds awesome. I have had a couple of jobs where I walked to work and, wow, it's great for your physical and mental health! And, as you say, the gas savings will be fantastic for your budget. Yay, you!!
Congratulations -- it sounds like it worked out for the better.
