Guilty admission: I am not looking forward to the weekend

It's Friday and I really wish it were Wednesday.

The last few weeks have been completely crazy -- new redesign launched here, as you guys know, many bugs, and then a bunch of other unexpected things I had to take care of -- and I am behind. I literally feel like I just can't catch up and if I could just have a few extra working days, it would help.

I feel guilty for feeling this way. Weekends are when I see my daughter and the three of us (husband in tow) hang out together. I LOVE that time, but while I still work on Saturday and Sunday, I have less time than during the week.

I know that the prudent thing would be to ask my husband to hang out with our kiddo this weekend so I can catch up. But I have the "I can try to do it all" annoying gene, and I feel horrible about doing that -- I don't want to miss that time together.

Ugh. Not my favorite feeling on a Friday afternoon. This is when I miss my old job, which was insane during the week, but ended at 6pm on Friday and gave me the whole weekend to chill out. I am sure many entrepreneurs can relate:)

I truely believe that God wants us to rest one day a week. We can dobetter work when we get rejuvinated.
As a homeschooling, newly single, photographing, and writing mom, I can kinda relate. I was not feeling very filled with the Holy Spirit in church this morning because I was scratching out my schedule for the coming week. I definitely need to pray if I'm going to get through THIS week!
Oh, Nat, I am feeling your pain! It is one of those weeks for me, too.

Hang in there. Sometimes, you just need some rest to feel rejuvenated and then you can pick up with a fresh outlook, rather than the rushed "have to finish" feeling.

I know...it is much easier said than done. :D
I also have that "I can try to do it all' gene - today was the first day in my daughter's nine months that I told my husband he was in charge, because I caught her stomach bug and can hardly move. Try to hand off the reins for a while - you'll feel better and will be able to focus more on them when you are with them.
Yes, I can relate. Sometimes I feel like I am going to turn around one day and they are all grown up. But on the upside...we do travel alot together and create tons of memories! It kind of wieghs itself out. They know I'm much happier now too!
