URL hiccup

Where should I start? I'll start with the good news: the beezoo URL is slightly changed: www.beezoos.com

What happened? I bought my URL few months ago (www.mybeezoo.com) from Yahoo Small Business. I got two confirmation e-mails and I moved on to work on my basic communication materials for beezoo. I checked my URL few times within the past 5 months just to make sure ... you know the feeling.

Then, I got so deep into the work, I did not check my URL anymore ... I was sure nothing happened in the meantime. Wrong! My web designer checked my URL two days ago and she sent me an IM asking me what did I do with my website ... I was surprised. I said: “nothing … what do you mean? soon the website will be up”. Then I went on-line to check ... Long story short: my URL was no longer my URL. What I did not know, was that Yahoo SB sent me an e-mail in the meantime saying that the payment could not be processed (I still don’t know why) and therefore, if I still want this URL I have to buy it (again). I haven't seen this e-mail when they sent it, and therefore I found out yesterday that 3 days ago somebody from Germany registered "my URL" (mybeezoo.com).

So, I said I thought of something nasty related to Yahoo SB and moved on to secure my "new" URL (obviously, from another domain registration website).

Now I'm the proud owners of beezoos.com and beezoos.net

Life goes on, but sometimes it’s best to double check … just to make sure.
