Grad party weekend has arrived!

The graduation party weekend is here!

The weather is beautiful this morning and there is a feeling of excitment in the air.

I just found out my daughter passed out 150 invitations to friends.  I knew we sent out 50 announcements to relatives and friends...

And that there are now THREE BANDS playing at the party, not just the band that is celebrating with her. (She has 5 guy friends who are in a band and the party is for them too.)

That means lots more food than I had thought we needed...

I'm feeling nostalgic for my little girl...how is it possible she grew up this fast?  The middle of 5 kids, I've always thought of her as one of the "little ones".  I am so proud of the person she has turned into.  Delightful, strong willed, creative, and sharp witted- those personality traits have been there since the day she was born and it has been a joy to see her evolve into the incredibly strong young woman that she is today. : )

Oldest daughter spent the night, and we are meeting with the caterer for her wedding this morning...Ditto with the nostalgic feelings and pride.  The little girl that stuck earthworms in her pocket and snuck them to preschool is getting married!

Time to get busy before the tears start to flow!
