I know some of you will get this...Or am I alone?

As a working mom, regardless of what we do, we sometimes feel guilty for the lack of time we spend with the kids.  I've always been about the quality of my time with my son, rather than the quantity.

How do we make up for some of this guilt?  We take on additional activities because we want to still be involved.

Seriously?  When am I going to get over that?

I started my day at 4:45 am, and started this note at 11:57 pm because I just got home from work, then a boy scout committee meeting, which overlapped a little with the school board meeting...that went until 11:35.

Now I'm here, writing this note, because I have to decompress and everyone is in bed.

Will someone tell Grandy to get a grip already?

Okay, here is my pep talk. You're a loving, hard-working mom. What more could your child need? Also, your child's perception is probably very different from your own. Looking back, my mother spent very little "quality time" with me, but that never occurred to me until I was in my 30s. Are you there to give him kisses if he wakes up after a nightmare? Or if he's sick? Okay, that officially makes you an awesome mom. :)

GET A GRIP GRADY!!

=0D, I hope that did it and yes you are not alone.

I guess all us Working Mum will always feel guilty. It is in our nature as a woman. We will always feel that whatever we do is never enough.

I guess the only way to make ourselves feel better is to by expressing our love whenever there is an opportunity to do so.

I hug and kiss my son whenever I could get a chance. Especially when he is asleep, I will kiss and kiss and kiss him and end it with a little whisper in his ear saying " Mummy loves you ".

I don't get to do it much when he is up, I will get shoo off.
I completely get it! My daughter is having a hard time at drop off at daycare and I am stressing that it's because I am not with her enough. My thing is cooking - I cook a lot to cover up my working mom guilt:)
