Full Figured Fitness

I hate exercise, I really do. I've had trainer after trainer, but I never have any long term success with them. After spending thousands of dollars on what seems like thousands of diets, I finally said forget it. The dieting is done, and I'm not spending another red cent at the gym. I realized that if I didn't approach fitness with a different mind set, I would never see the results I wanted, so I took the focus off of weight loss.

Now as a plus sized mommy, my main goals are to keep my self esteem high, and to be healthy enough to be around for my children's children. Your goals may be different, but self esteem has been a struggle for me. I'm happy to say that I found some ways to do both...

  1. Belly Dancing - I'm all over this. I love the way your exercising without knowing it. You have to work your core, and your hips, and a lot of other body parts that I forgot existed. It also makes me feel alive, and more feminine. Love it, love it, love it!

  2. Pole/Erotic Dancing - This is our next girl's night in. I've taken a couple of these classes via DVD, and I liked them. The DVD's focused on heart rates, and breathing a little more than I would have liked, but all in all, they were fun. Since then a client recommended we have a pole party. A consultant will come by and teach a class. She brings props and a pole, and all we have to do is have fun, and be open...I'm looking forward to the wine, and to making it around the pole one time.

  3. Hip Hop Dance - I love it! I love a private class at a gym or studio. I'm pretty coordinated, so I can pick up the steps quickly. As long as the music is hot, I will happily work up a sweat.

Those are my top 3...Are there any that you ladies think I've forgotten?
