Never enough time for blogging!

I really feel bad for neglecting this blog. My last post was in April! Shameful. I am trying to find more time to post on my home decorating blog. I have only started blogging this year and I'm finding out that I actually enjoy writing. So must a lot of people, considering how popular blogging has become.

I'm very glad that I actually enjoy the long hours I spend working on my home decor website. I've found some great new suppliers this summer. However, this is also the first summer that our family has not been able to take any road trips. We, like so many others, are struggling in this horribly depressed economy. I remember when $20.00 would fill my gas tank. I guess that will always be a thing of the past.

I keep telling myself, just hang in there, things will get better. What I don't understand though is why the oil companies have raised the price so drasticly. I've heard it's because of the sudden increase in demand for fuel from countries like China. But every quarter, the oil companies are making billions in profits. Can someone tell me how this price gouging is justified? Are we all really powerless to stop it?

Oh and one other question while I vent. Why is it ok for the government to be so financially irresponsible and reckless while individual people are so scrutinized and punished anytime they make a financial blunder? Why don't the credit reporting agencies give the government a crappy credit score?

OK, I feel a little better now.

Hey, you covered a lot of ground in that post. :) I agree it's hard to maintain a blog. It's incredibly hard to fit anything extra into the weekly schedule, I find!!
