Mustard seeds

Little things, they catch you so off guard. Yes, it's true. Big moments are amazing. But looking back in the past 18 mos. of being a mom, it was the smallest stuff that took my breath away...the first time my boy called out Mommy!...the first time he 'got' a joke and laughed the belly laugh that turns my mood into sunshine. The split-second when I thought he was choking and jumped up in terror...there are a million little moments each day...nothing days that would have gone by unoticed that will now be forever etched in my memory...because of this boy...this tireless dancing miracle that whips around me spreading joy, contentment and oh, yeah...infinite mess! Today is one of those days when I'm fully aware of my blessings...and I feel very, very alive.
