Surprise, Surprise!

I was surprised by my own selfishness.  I thought I was a pretty mature, open-minded, giving, and loving woman.  I never realized I could wish more for a latte some mornings than two girls clamoring for my attention.  Becoming a mom - not just giving birth and having my girls - is really a growing process for me.  I struggle more with my own selfish desires and wants than I ever expected.

Don't get me wrong, some mornings I DESERVE a latte, and I treat myself on occasion - I just didn't know I would resent anything about being a mom.
