Why is it that when you most need to sleep (which for me is Sunday night through to Tuesday night) the two year old decides to start waking at night again.  I haven't even managed to get a shower and get dressed yet and now I can't go into my own room because the babies are asleep in their cots in there!  Urgh can I go back to bed and restart the day again!

Ugh, been there, DO THAT! My almost 3 decided that waking and wandering was an option. They are both great sleepers normally. And during the day the oldest doesn't nap. But I have a rule...I taught her "time" and she needs to have quiet time in her room until the big hand, blah, blah, blah, then she can come out, climb into bed next to me and gently kiss my cheek to wake me. It doesn't always happen that way but when it does it's sweet. Sometimes I get a lot accomplished during her "quiet time" and when I hear her coming I sneak out of the office and into bed so she has the pleasure of waking me anyway. Then I praise her for letting me get quiet time. Hopefully this will keep working for another 10-12 years!!
a nap is being seriously considered right now, the couch looks very inviting but unfortunately in an attempt to foil my beautiful plan Cam (9 months) and Jazzy (the terrible two) have both just decided that sleep isn't on their list of priorities anymore. On the up side this means that I can now get into my room and find my clothes, then I only have to wait for more sleeping to happen before I can have a shower and feel vaguely human!

Sorry - I can only imagine how tired you are. They just know when to start waking up:) Can you take a nap somewhere while they are down?
