Walk On the Moon 22nd Feb
I
second
MaryP's
comment
about
being
forced
to
slow
down
to
get
better.
Being
home
this
week
forced
me
to
do
a
lot
of
thinking
and
if
it
weren't
for
the
surgery
I
just
had,
it
wouldn't
have
happened.
I'm
glad
I
was
forced
off
the
hamster
wheel.
Hang
in
there,
soon
you'll
be
back
to
yourself!

Kathy,
Recovery takes so long some times. I find that I expect too much out of myself, I expect to be able to bounce back quick and when I don't, I get down on myself and say what the heck is wrong with me. Well your body is your body just go easy on yourself! Hope you get back to feeling good soon!

You
sound
like
my
mother,
recovering
from
her
surgery.
She
was
astonished
-
and
indignant!
-
that
it
took
so
long
to
get
back
to
normal.
Her
attitude
was
very
much
WTF?!?!
(Not
that
I've
ever
heard
her
say
that,
but
it
was
all
over
her.)
But
she
did
get
back
to
normal,
and
you
will,
too
(and
probably
faster,
given
your
age!).
In the meantime? Let the healing wend its way through you. I sometimes wonder if that bit of depression that happens to just about everyone in this situation isn't nature's way of getting us to SLOW THE HECK DOWN so we can get better!

ps:
welcome
back!
Kate 23rd Oct 07
it
WILL
get
better!
in
general
-
the
body
always
takes
6
weeks
to
heal.
from
broken
bones
to
major
surgery!
the
surface
stiches
should
feel
better
in
about
2
but
all
the
muscle
and
all
that
other
stuff
inside
has
to
heal
too!
oh and if i lived near you AND mandy lived near you i would be coming over to help cut up that pie for you - since you are recovering and all... ;)
Mandy Nelson - Dandysound 23rd Oct 07
Girl,
you
just
had
a
big
lady
part
removed!
It's
going
to
take
some
time
to
feel
like
"yourself".
I'm
sorry
it
feels
like
it's
taking
forever
and
that
you
can't
quite
come
out
of
it
yet.
If
I
lived
nearby
I'd
be
bringing
apple
pie
laced
with
tequila!
You'll
be
back
on
top
in
no
time.
I
was
in
the
hospital
for
four
days
with
a
localised
intestinal
infection,
no
surgery,
just
lots
of
antibiotics,
etc...and
it
took
ten
days
before
I
felt
back
to
my
normal
self.
Hang
in
there
:)
