time for me

Thank you for the encouraging responses to my first foray. I see that I still have to get the hang of responding and staying in touch. It is a little bit of a guilty pleasure to sit here browsing through what everyone else is thinking and doing instead of 'being productive'. I am with Nataly on the extra 10min & $10. My daughter was sick yesterday and I had an extra day at home. It was an incrdeible relief to have a good reason to not be running myself ragged. I slept, fed her required medecines; we read, took a long bath together and filed our nails. I didn't even TRY to get too much done. It was amazing and I need to work more of those moments in beause I feel so refreshed today!! (even with the backlog facing me from yesterdays neglect...)

Hi Victoria,

I feel the same. So sad that it has to be almost catastrophic before we allow ourselves to take the time we need....

Sometimes I'm actually grateful for being sick bc that's the only time i'm forced to take it easy and take care of myself.....
Good for you! Love that you gals had a bath together and did your nails. I love those times with my oldest, too, which reminds me I should try it with the little one!

Hi, Dancinmama - I was wondering when you'd post again, really enjoyed your first note:)

So glad you were able to turn a sick day into a good day. I always try to remind myself to slow down and enjoy the days when I have to take off work and be with my daughter; to put away the pc and just be there with her, doing fun girl stuff.
