Common Sense Dilemma

How many moms are out there that are like me- lack in some common sense when it comes to arts and crafts. My daughter loves making things and she is always asking me to draw this or that, or show me how to make a puppet so on.. Are there any tidbits you would like to share with scrapbooking with your child, or jsut having arts and crafts time together without feeling overwhelmed.

nataly's suggestion is so much better than mine! my mother used to tell us 'well just keep trying and youu will figure it out! Show me what you come up with!' took us until we were teenagers to figure out 1. she didnt know how to do whatever it was we were asking and
2. she didnt really like whatever artsy/craftsy thing we were asking her to do!

however, there were many things we did that were artsy craftsy that werent hard. like plaster molds to make orniments and then paint them! so fun! and really, really hard to mess up ;)

Yesterday we got this set at Target from which you can make little animals - they have their foam body parts, eyes, ears, legs, etc - already cut out - and you just have to play around and glue it all together. We had a lot of fun doing this and it was a lot easier than making something from scratch. I also saw different type arts and crafts kits there.
