Best piece of advice...

Although not advice in a traditional sense, there is a quote from Henry Ford:"Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off the goal." That quote stayed with me through many years.   I truly agree and try to practice it. I also use it as "inspiration" when I need a "lift".  :) SK

A wink from my husband, a grin from my kids, a pound less on the scale, an empty kitchen sink, a new subscriber to my magazine, remembering to use a coupon at the grocery store, and finding that last bottle of beer way back in the fridge on a Friday night.

What is the one skill you want to teach to your kids?

JUST ONE??? It changes everyday! One day it is teaching him responsibility, one day it is teaching him preseverence, one day it is teaching him social skills, one day it is teaching him about respect, and so on. If I had to narrow it down to ONE, I will say I would like to make sure he learns the "sense of self". To understand himself and to respect...
