My one-and-only child is a hillarious, beautiful toddler. Until I had her, I had no idea being a mother was so much fun!
My interests:
none for the past few years, unfortunately
How I de-stress:
I like to go to the gym just to use the treadmill, even if only for 10 minutes, and get away from the house and work. Yoga is great too.
Best advice I've gotten:
um...I can't name one but I have a friend who is brilliant and has a great sense of entitlement and everyone respects her for it. I've tried to let some of that rub off, e.g. "I need to leave early on Thursday because I have to do something important". It's all in how you say it.
An adjective to describe me:
bright ; - )
Family
Number of children:
1
Age of children:
1
Relationship status:
Partnered/In a civil union
Parenting advice I follow:
I absolutley follow the advise of trusting my instincts. I DO know better than anyone else what needs to be done; but I also listen to others with an open mind.
Parenting advice I ignore:
I give everything a fair chance before I dismiss it. I ignored the advise about skipping or delaying vaccinations but I considered it until I learned the facts and evaluated my daughter relative to the risk factors for autism.
Favorite activity with my kids:
I love walking with her in slow motion. Taking baby steps, leaving the carriage at home.
Work
Work status:
Work full-time
Industry:
Biotech
Position:
Associate Director, Clinical Operations
Employer:
Coley
Hours worked per week:
40+
How much I like my job:
I love it!
Job stress level:
Pretty stressful
Best thing about my job:
There is almost no repetition in the job; I have to solve a new puzzle every day, every week, every month and so I'm constantly learning.
Worst thing about my job:
Um, our company was just acquired and my last day is in two weeks!
My dream job:
Oh, sitting in the woods and making observations on wildlife behavior. I suppose that might be more of a hobby.
