New attorney with beautiful little boy and near perfect husband. I just took a part time attorney job after one year of the full (okay, more than full) time juggle. I can't wait.
My interests:
My son! Also, I love to travel, shop, cook, meet with friends, etc.
How I de-stress:
I just got a hydrotherapy tub. Aw yeah.
Best advice I've gotten:
Make sure your partner, if you have one, does his fair share. There is not a gene for this, it is about partnership.
An adjective to describe me:
Driven
My favorite book:
The Stand
My favorite movie:
Depends on the day
Family
Number of children:
1
Age of children:
20 months
Relationship status:
Married
Parenting advice I follow:
Talk to my son, make sure to keep him informed, and respect that he is a person, not an extention of me.
Parenting advice I ignore:
I'm not overly cautious, I let him fall or even get hurt so long as there is not real danger. I want him to explore his own world, even if that means band aids.
Favorite activity with my kids:
Go to the zoo or other fun day.
Work
Work status:
Work part-time
Industry:
Legal
Hours worked per week:
20-40
How much I like my job:
I love it!
Job stress level:
Pretty stressful
Best thing about my job:
The flexibility, the challenges, the excitement.
Worst thing about my job:
The stress, the late nights, the pressure.
My dream job:
I just took this job, leaving a full time position behind. So far, I think this is it!
I'm in a very "old boys" field where the more hours the work, the "better" you are - and I work approximately 25 hours per week. When I can't do a meeting...
