I have recently been laid off and am trying to focus on getting a new job.
Has anyone here changed careers after being laid off, or after becoming a mom?
I am thinking this is my chance, and I dont want to blow it by taking another ho-hum job.

Good for you! That is a great subject to address to children, although it is all in the delivery. I will take a look at the survey. 3rd grade seems young. 5th-6th yes. 3rd?

Thank you for replying to my dilemma. I have only one child, but 2 dogs. My husband does help out, here and there, but of course its more like 80% me and 20% him. He will go out and do all the yard work for the front and back yard, which takes him about an hour and 15 min, then he might come inside to fold some laundry, or do the dishes for me, and then that's it. He feels he has contributed. We have sat down about a month ago, to have a serious talk about how much more help I need around the house, and he agreed to help out, but I do not feel like it is 50/50. It will probably never be 50/50. That's just the way most men are. When they do actually do something to help, it seems like it was done by an 8 year old because it was so half ass. I might as well have done it myself. Any way another lady replied with some good suggestions that I will explore too. Hopefully, it will cut down on my time. Have a great day!

Thank you for your response to my question. I can relate with you in many ways. We need to stay encouraged and make the most of the little moments we do get. I hope to be able to go shopping sometime this month...I need to update my clothes/style desperately! My son is 16 mos. old...and I have no idea where my pre-prego clothes went!?! In the mean time...I am trying to decide what style I want to get...what my style is...what I would like my vibe to be...I am an artist...along with working Mon-Fri. 9a-5p 40+ hrs. at times...a wife and a mommy!
Lets make a goal to take some time for ourselves this weekend. My goal is to get a bottle of wine, a movie and work on an art project. I will put the baby to bed, and my husband has to study for a class...so I have faith that it will happen! My goal is to make it happen!
What is your goal :-)? Take Care and hope to hear from you soon!
We all have those days by the way!!!!!
