- I was a SAHM for the first 1.5yrs but in the end it wasn't for me. Please don't misunderstand, I have nothing but the utmost respect & admiration for SAHMs but it just didn't work for us. So now were are trying the reverse. Hubby is staying home (working PT from home office) and I work full time as Business manager for two International companies. I am also finishing up my degree in leadership/business and do personal training/nutrition consulting part-time.
