Part-time as a Therapist
How many hours I work:
0 to 20 hours a week
How much I like my job:
I love it
How stressful I find my job:
Not very stressful
Best thing about my job:
I've always wanted to be involved with promoting healthy families. Having a healthy home-base, i feel, leads to healthy patterns in life overall.
Worst thing about my job:
Ugh, well, I've been working towards my doctorate for several years now. Since getting married and becoming pregnant, I've had to slow down the process a bit. Wouldn't change my life for anything right now...but every now it's difficult being so close to achieving my dream...but still somewhat far away (i could have been finished now, but then i guess i wouldn't have all these wondering things going on in my life either). It's just taking time to adjust to the shift in priorities...more of a reconfiguration of my identify.
My dream job:
Hmmm, I can't wait to finally become a license clinical pyschologist. Like i said, i love working with children and families. I've worked toward this goal for a long time. Ideally, I'd like to be in a position to just under full time (4 days a week max) and enjoy being a wife and mother the rest of the time. So that's more like a dream schedule and a dream job.

  • Hi Mrs. Dr. Mom!
Thanks for your note! I think these are all great questions and the answer varies for different children. My child was pretty easy - he only cared about getting food - not how it came to him :)
I used Dr. Brown bottles, but again - it didn't really matter with him. You should join - you'll get great response to your questions! Congrats on your pregnancy!!!
