About me:: I am a scientist, an entrepreneur and a mother. And since I can't live without any one of them, I need to balance them all well. I have learned a lot. I love that I can apply the science I learned in grad school to everyday life. Real time. My children mean the world to me! More often that not I wish that I could take a few years off of work and enjoy life with the kids. Wishes don't pay the bills though! Logistically, I own and run a dog training/behavior modification business. I am also working on starting a national dog trainer resource organization. In a former life I worked in drug and alcohol addiction research.

How I de-stress:: Cleaning and organizing are my latest projects. Playing pool is the ultimate stress relief for me! Perhaps it's because I concentrate on the game and forget about everything else!

Currently on my Life Wish List:

Wow. I'm sure I will add to this over time. Right now I'm very focused on my businesses and my family. I have plenty of life wishes and dreams in so many different directions. I will list them soon.
Goals I am working on:

Taking basic steps to market my local training business. Implementing new ideas and really "re-freshing" my presence and services.

In the back of my mind I have a sketch of my new business, which will be a resource for dog professionals. I'm very excited about it, but cannot dedicate a whole lot of time to it now. The bills don't pay themselves!

Hi bgrace75. Welcome to Work it, Mom! It's great to meet you. Hey: we have two things in common. Thing 1: I used to live in your area - New Haven, to be exact. I lived there for two years. Thing 2: I'm also into dogs in a big way. I'm involved in animal rescue down here in FL.
