- Be involved in the aspects of your children's lives that they are involved in so you can understand their passions more fully.
- Parenting advice I ignore:
- Allowing kids unfettered access to movies, TV. Also I do not follow movie ratings blindly. There are many PG-13 movies I don't allow my 14 year to see, and I will watch some R rated movies with him. I also allow them to invite whomever they wish to their birthday parties regardless of who invited them to theirs.
- Favorite activity with my kids:
- Depends on the child. With my son, I enjoy listening to his music with him; with my daughter, I enjoy going places and doing activities.
