Is your family environmentally conscious? What are some of the things you do to be green?

I went green ... I no longer buy expensive caustic cleaners from chain stores, and I do not by so called green products that do not work very well. I buy products that are not only effective, but are shipping in consentrated form, thus further decreasing waste to land fill and fuel usage etc. I also buy local every chance I can, I take public transit most of the time, I use recycled paper products, and use them sparingly etc. I have taken being green a step further in that part of my business is to introduce people to green alterntaives and help them get enviromentally conscious and responsible products into their home often at greatly discounted rates... so it becomes a win-win situation :)

Do you buy your Christmas gifts online or do you brave the crowds and buy them in the stores?

Both, it depends on what I am trying to get.. this year the boys wanted guitar hero.. rather than zipping around to many stores. we just ordered it online... I also use online to sent gifts to people who arent not local.. and I think it helps that I get many discounts from online retailers :)

Your update about your day cracked me up. I love ridiculous days (the next day). Days during the holidays are often ridiculous though, aren't they? It's weird, my holiday is done. Chanukah came early this year (which is a pain in the butt), but it's over now.
I was picking up little chachkis everywhere I went starting in October. But for me, the holiday parties and all of the mirth of the season are still happening. They are happening around me, I just don't need to do anything.
Take some time to laugh about something ridiculous. If you can't think of anything, just ask me! I am completely ridiculous. That's what everyone says anyway....
