- Listen to your children. Don't just shut them out. If they know you are willing to truly listen and discuss anything with them, they will be more willing to approach you with any problems they may be having.
- Parenting advice I ignore:
- Laying down the law without listening to their side. I believe the parent has the final say, but I also believe the child should be able to voice their opinion.
- Favorite activity with my kids:
- Any activity where everyone is involved and occasionally, one-on-one time with each individual. I like to sit and have discussions with them about what's going on in their lives, etc.
