Slidell has come a long way since Katrina, we had 6 ft of water but it didnt stay long like it did in New Orleans. I think it was here maybe one day and left the next. We have a two story so we were able to do the work and live updstairs. My husband's company really helped us out with floating the walls. I told him I didnt want a FEMA trailer so just give me the necessities which was hot water, a/c, a microwave and washer and dryer. We had more help because it wasnt about politics like in New Orleans where I was born and raised. We are 95% back to normal. Thanks for asking.
