Every time we go on a family outing there is no where to sit down and eat. Often one of my kids is ready to go home and the other one wants to stay and play.Does anyone else have this issue? Do you have any tricks or toys that can save me from this? ”

  • I don't have the issue of one kid wanting to leave and another wanting to stay. Usually BOTH want to stay. What I do to head off arguments about when we are leaving is before we even GET where we are going I let them know what they should expect from the day and I explain to them at what point (after what activity if they aren't clock readers) we will be leaving. "We will be leaving shortly after dessert." It seems to work in our house.
