  • Like Daisy, my work tends to revolve around the schools' schedule. Winter break is pretty dead, but then I can hang our with my little guy. Although it'd be nice if we were busier financially....but I am grateful for what I have,

  • Absolutely! For me the big rush comes right before Thanksgiving when clients realize they need something voiced for the holidays. So I get slammed in the weeks leading up to it then it gets very quiet until after the new year. I don't mind since this is always a busy time of year on the home front. Unless there is a rush job, like the one that came in this morning, things are nice and slow. Now you'd think I'd take that chance to catch up on paperwork and office junk...

  • I wish. I have one project that goes live on January 2nd. The other closes in February. Slow down? HA! It has ramped up if anything!

  • My work gets crazier as the holiday approaches, then crashes. I teach 4th grade, and the kids are getting wilder every day. When my break starts, I'll collapse and catch up on sleep (and coffee) before I can enjoy my family and the holiday. If I could only get my students to figure out how to get the visions of sugarplums off to the side and envision a great topic sentence or irregular plurals...elf vs. elves, anyone?

  • Unfortunately, but fortunately, not at all because I work in retail. I own and operate Little Jet Set (www.littlejetset.com), an online kids' travel gear store. So, right now, I'm getting hit with both holiday shoppers and parents planning for upcoming vacations during school break. And since this is my first year in business, I'm a bit crazed trying to figure it all out.
