  • I gave a small gift to one of my obs, for providing FANTASTIC service . . . she truly was amazing . . . having said that, I don't think it needs to become customary . . .

  • i have never heard of this! maybe because around here it's all join practices with like a million doctors? my obgyn office had about 5 doctors and as many pratitioners that i had to see through out my pregnancy, they were all great! and the doc that delivered my son was FANTASTIC but it never occured to me to give her a gift! my gift was bringing my son to the 6 week check up LOL

  • around here, a lot of moms give their OBs gifts- everything from flowers and cookies, to a Tiffany necklace (yes, one of my friends gave our OB a Tiffany "Bean" necklace!!!!) wowza!!!!

  • I did give my OB a small, inexpensive gift. I was referred to her after poor experiences with other providers. She followed me from 20 weeks to 38 weeks, post-partum and now as my GYN. The arrival of our son was such a special event in our lives, that we had to thank those who helped him get here safely!
