Are you setting any work or business goals for 2008?”

  • Yes! My "official" goal or resolution is to become a successful full time freelancer, while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. I work full time while moonlighting as a web designer - I'm hoping to be able to make it on my own by the end of the year. Of course there are a ton of mini-goals necessary to reach my ultimate goal. That is my main focus, though. I've been making a huge effort to reach full time freelance status since last year, but wasn't doing so well with the whole balancing act. I am making that a Major priority this year!

  • oh i have too many! i am actually starting a spreadsheet so i can keep track because the 'goals' some how magically morph into tasks and then i need to get them down and organized or i get overwhelmed thinking i have to do them all at once becasue they are all in my head LOL

  • I am. I started problogging in 2007 and made alittle money and actually got a paid gig. In 2008, I am planning for full time money, a couple more paying blogging jobs, a contest, and all around increased traffic. I guess that is enough, right?!

  • Yes. I'm pacing a career change by income. 2008 will be year two of my three-year transition. This year, my new career is providing about one-quarter of the income I need to survive. By the end of 2008, I want to be making one-half to two-thirds of my needed income from the new career, and by the end of 2009, I want to have moved completely from one to the other. We'll see how I do!

  • My goals continue from September because I am a public school teacher. I'm making good progress; I anticipate meeting more goals and documenting success on others.

  • Yes, and big goals they are. Granted, I want more large clients. I want to improve the website and add some interactive features so people can come in and get the small voice products they need without the hassle. And we're moving the company! The logistics of a move for this sort of business will be interesting to work out then carry out. It's going to be a very exciting 2008 for Dandysound.

  • I definitely have work and business goals set for 2008. I have a 3 year plan that I am working on that kicks off in 2008. I think it is really important to set goals to help you reach your milestones. It also helps to actually write those goals down on paper. Cognitively, it will help you to see them as being real and attainable.

  • I don't think I've done this much before, but this is my first year with my own company - thanks to all of you:) - and I'm working on a list for 2008. What about you?
