  • Changed jobs. I was really unhappy in my old position, but was really scared to try something different. I'm so thankful the opportunity came along, and I'm so glad I didn't let fear keep me from making the change!

  • I nursed and pumped for my daughter all year while working 40+ hours, and we're still going at 15mo! I wanted to quit around 5mo, but I just changed my life to make it keep working.

  • Starting my career change. I find initiating big changes difficult, but this one I'm tackling with determination and very few panic attacks!

  • I do animal rescue (www.bigdogrescue). This year I've been so busy with having a baby and working part-time that I haven't been able to do as much as I used to. However, I did still foster and adopt out several dogs over the course of the past few months. It's not much, but I feel proud that I at least was able to contribute that much. Each dog represents a lot of work for me: getting to know them, earning their trust, cleaning them up, house-training, feeding, repeated trips to the vet to get them healthy and ready for adoption, putting them on the website with cute pics, screening potential adopters etc. So, in a nutshell, this is what I'm proud of for '07: my four-legged "babies" -- Noodle, Missy, Tuli, Dougal, China, and Pixie.
