  • Yes I am... very much actually, I love hugging my children and my husband, a day wouldn't go by when I wouldn't say I love them and kiss them, I believe it lifts the spirit when one touches/hugs you and you hear the magic words "I love you"

  • My philosophy is always kiss the kids goodnight - even if they're already asleep. I make sure to say "I love you" to my family every day and hug and kiss whenever possible. The kids will only love you unconditionally for so long so love it while it lasts!

  • I, too, am very affectionate. I am always kissing and hugging my little guy and my big guy (aka: hubby). I visited my parents over Christmas and I realized where I get it: from my own mom. She was kissing and hugging my son as much as I do. In fact, there is one pic of us both kissing my son, one of us on each of his cheeks.

  • i am pretty affectionate, especially with my family!! lots and lots of hugging and snuggling :) my son is so used to all the hugs and kisses that apparently he runs around hugging the teachers and kids in daycare! i love that! i think you can never get too many hugs :) my husband and family get lots of 'i love you's and everyone always gets hugs and kisses on entry/exit of family functions! to tkd_mama's point, i make an effort to actually put emotion behind the 'I love You' every time i say it and i really mean it even though i say it a lot!

  • Generally i'm not super emotional but i do make a point to show my affection for my family every day. My husband is very affectionate and we show it to each other and to our son every day :)

  • I am very affectionate with my family! I believe that if today I am gone that everyone will know that the are loved. My husbands family is not like that and it took years for him to get used to it.

  • I have to admit, I'm a walking contradiction regarding this. OTOH, I am very affectionate with my son, and I do say "I love you" to him periodically. And I'm also the kind of person to pat a friend or even an aquaintance on the back, or touch their arm, as a gesture of relating to/understanding what they're saying to me. But I don't like it when "I love you" becomes so automatic, like "How are you"/"I'm fine" when it becomes absent of its true meaning. So I tend not to say it much. (My poor hubby. But I'm affectionate towards him too, except that's trickier, b/c I don't necessarily want every gesture interpreted as "I want sex.") I have very few family relatives here in this country (2), and we don't say "I love you" to each other, so that may be part of why I am this way. - Paula.
