  • I try keep weekends down time. We are such a busy world these days and kids go this way and that. I feel that my family needs no schedule no certain place to be. But there are chores to be done!

  • I try for a balance: a few out-of-the-house activities (errands, the gym, shopping for fun stuff) some housework, some time with my kids (which may be housework, but we have fun with it) some time with my husband (usually going for a 45-minute walk to our favourite coffee shop), some time working, some time alone. When I get all that in there, and I usually do, I feel really good about a weekend.

It sounds more crowded than it is. In fact, weekends are pretty laid-back in my house, which is how I like them.

  • My weekends are pretty much my own now that my daughter is off to college. When she was younger though the evenings and weekends were pretty busy. She was a cheerleader and I was the coach so we were very busy with games and competitions. It was fun when I was doing it but I don't miss it now that I have a bit of my life back.

  • It depends. Some weekends are insane, some are so slow I can't wait for Monday.

  • We TRY to make Sunday family day, with exception of October - December which is our busy season. Breakfast out at a local cafe, diner or sap house is MY favorite way to start out. Church followed by either a relaxing day at home, some home based activites/projects or maybe a road trip to a local car show or a round of minature golf - often accompanied with a little grocery shopping (saving gas where we can!)
My 7 year old keeps us in check and is a constant reminder that it is important to stop & smell the roses - for everyone's sake
