This does seem to be a problem for me - but more from interference from my husband than from my kids.

I have a graphic design and desktop publishing business that I run from home. I also homeschool my youngest son, who is now 15. (His older brothers are in college full time now). My son is very independent and has his own routine each day. We have breakfast and lunch together and also read and play music together each day. In between, he does his schoolwork and I do my projects.

On the days my husband is home, our routine gets basically blown up. It's hard for me to start a writing or creative project and then be interrupted because he is looking for company. I've trained my kids to leave me to my work...guess I need to work on the dh!
absolutely. thank god for the invention of the laptop and the cordless phone!!! this way, I'm portable. I have been known to change diapers while carrying on business conversations. It was easier when the middle one was in daycare, but when I cut my outside the house hours down to 2 nights a week so the baby wouldn't have to go, we decided the 5 year old could stay home too. Now I am having a hard time, but I wouldn't change it. He seems to need me more than my 6 year old does, so it's better for him. The one thing I can't seem to get through his head though, is that when I am on the phone, I can't have a conversation with him too. Anybody know how to deal with that?
YES! YES! YES!! I dashed in here while the little guy was getting bathes (thanks, Hubby!), and his brother was attending. :) Brother just came out to "visit" me ... and now here' Hubby. :)

LOL!!!!!!!!!!
HAHAHAHAHA. I'm laughing at this as my daughter is half on and half off my bed, because she's insisting she cant sleep in her own room (again!) and Im insisting she can't sleep in my room for the 100th night in a row. Meanwhile, my bed (which has become my evening office) is covered with an array of papers--and I don't seem to be getting anything done. ARGGGG
Oh my gosh - YES!!! Every single day! It's very hard. I feel like the rules change every day. I don't see that changing any time soon, so I try my best to adapt. I look for solutions all the time. You are not alone by any means!
EVERDAY. I get little snipits of time.
