we try not to actually do gifts but do SOMETHING together either as a family and/or just us. though actualy this year he thought he would be the comedian. he bought me the dvd 'knocked up' so that when people asked what he got me for valentines day he coudl say 'i got her knocked up' and then burst into laughter for about 5 minutes. LOL he does make me laugh! he also gave me a card (we do exchange cards) and had a nice family dinner (he cooked! and cleaned!) and it was awesome :) i told him we should do it monthly - why wait until mid-feb once a year??
Yes, my husband and I do exchange gifts on Valentine's Day. Who doesn't want gifts?
My husband and I dont exchange gifts . It just so happens that we think of each when were away from each other and say to ourselves this is a wonderful thing to give my husband . Everyday being with him is a gift to me . Being able to share how Iam feeling is a gift itself, but sometimes we do give each other gifts not only valentines day :)
We are very romantic around here...I went shopping for MYSELF and bought a few new pieces and then called my DH in CALI(he was on Business) "Honey, thank you for my valentines day gift" His reply "what did I buy you?" Me "Oh just a few pieces for the spring...didn't break the bank". His reply "O.K. great, I am happy you found a few things" "We have dinner reservations" My reply "GREAT".

We give small stuff a card and my husband insists every year giving me one of these stuffed animals that are Valentine Cheesey. My daughter laughs and swears every year she is going to take him to the music store, book store, candle shop or something like that. Ya know he does draw me great bubble bath and candles.
I'm single so there is no S.O. to exchange gifts with. For the kids I typically buy a special Valentines Day treat like a heart shaped cake, cookies, or chocolate.
My husband and I don't exchange Valentine's gifts. We've had opportunities about every two weeks since Christmas...our anniversary was in January and his birthday was a couple of weeks ago. Valentine's day gifts don't have any meaning for us so we don't exchange them. We do get a small gift for each of the girls though.
