  • If I understand your question correctly you are referring to the high cost of everything. Gas, oil, life in general. We are hanging in there. Oil prices were really hard this year though. I opted to go back to work part time at night while my husband works during the day. It seems to be working out. We were able to maximize our time with our daughter and not pay for daycare. We are ironing out the financial kinks. We are trying to be careful about what we spend, but we aren't lacking for anything. We live in a fairly expensive area of the country, so our house is small, but it is cozy and it works for the three of us -we hope to add another baby in the near future. We are trying to live on a budget. We are working on some long term financial plans-eliminating unnecessary debt, saving money etc. You can live on less than you think. When I think about how much money we spent when we were childless or single for that matter I could scream. Our priorities have certainly changed. Did I answer your question?

  • Hi Tina,
Could you be a little clearer? Are you referring to the escalating consumerism in general or the slowing down of the US economy, or something else? Cheers...
