I am curious about what all of you experienced mothers might think about this. I had complications during my first trimester and the doctor sent me to bed rest. It ended up being for a total of four weeks. I am torn as to whether I should be looking for part time or temp work while my baby is due in September or if I should just stay at home and take care of myself.”

  • Take care of you & your baby if at all possible. If your not working is not going to be a financial burden -- STAY HOME.

  • Relax, Relax, Relax! I didn't really heed my docs advice on taking it easy (I was expecting twins) and ended up on bedrest from 24 to 36 weeks....a total of 12 weeks!! I think if I had listened earlier, I would not have been stuck home for so long!
I hope all goes well for you!

  • My advice would be, in this order:
    (1) Listen to your body, does it need a rest?
    and
    (2) Talk to your doctor, could it happen again?
