Like to win things?

My husband says I have the potential to develop a content business on my own. I was a WAHM for 3.5 years and did pretty well for myself. I want to do that too but only a couple of years from now after I get some mre "corporate" experience on marketplace needs. My current job has rusted my skills and I'm ready to leave. Problem is, if I do that without getting something else, our annual income will be down 60%. In these uncertain times, I'm not sure I'll be able to get a job that pays as much. Should I settle for a paycut? If yes, how much? Or should I take the plunge to return to being a WAHM even though I'm not mentally ready for it?

Why don´t you work on starting your own content business in the evening and weekends? That way, you can keep your current job for a little longer and let go once you feel ready to take your home business to the next level. I think if you don´t like your job and you can manage with less money, it´s a good idea to go for a pay cut, but I personally would look at working from home.
It sounds to me from what you've written that you're not ready to leave your job. I think advice from people we love is wonderful, but it's not always what we want to do. If you like the experience you're getting, the skills, marketability, connections -- then to me it makes all the sense in the world to keep doing it.
