Devil's Advocate

Multi-line Reps or Moms with Sales Experience Today I met someone who suggested I seek out multi-line reps to get my product in the market place. This is all new to me and sounds very foreign and expensive. My first thought was to reach out to moms who believe in my product to help solicit specialty boutiques in their communities to buy my cards for a commission rate. This afternoon I began to research the whole multi-line rep situation, I came across a blog entry from Sandra, Founder of Robeez baby shoes. She chose the mommy route for promoting her products. I am curious to know what you have done to promote your products on a large scale and get them in the hands of customers. I am in fear that if I do not move my product into the market place in a quick manner, a larger retailer will take notice of the niche market I am focusing on and will beat me to the buyers. I would love to know if anyone has experience in this area. Thanks, Angelice Founder & President Gemini Greetings LLC Specialty Greetings for Twins, Triplets & More!

Melody, thank you for the suggestion. Do you use the "pay per click" marketing? If so, have you found it to be a beneficial source of referrals?
I don't know what Multi-line is but it looks like you have started your own business creating specialty greeting cards. I see from your profile that you have a web site for your business. I'd suggest you learn some internet marketing techniques as the most cost effective way to promote your products. Pay per click advertising with Google and Yahoo is a good place to start for immediate targeted visitors who will buy if you use very specific key word phrases.

I could make a number of suggestions but I'm not sure exactly what you need to know. Feel free to contact me directly and I can point you to some excellent resources.
