How do you keep your energy up during a long day of looking after kids, hubby, housework and work?

kids & hubby are usually not draining me, but contrarily. Work can drain me (actually the bureaucracy, lack of common sense and office politics that do that) but I developed my techniques to stay above / away from the "drainers" (as much as I can).
Nevertheless, that does not mean that I do not have my worst days when I'm ... beat. When I'm like that, I rush back home, cook some yummy food, couple it with a good drink, hang around my my husband and my daughter, see a good movie or read a great book. Then ... I'm gone (asleep) and usually the next day my batteries are charged.
I know it's not a great answer, but I do it through sheer force of will. I do it because I have to.
I´ve never heard of Monavie . . .it´s probably not available here..
Natalie, I like your energizers, I´m trying to get away from my very bad energy habits (sugar, caffeine and energy drinks! :S) and I think I can handle walks and eating well. :D
I have been drinking this drink called Monavie and it's really great. I feel different.
Have you heard of it?
Good question! A few things that help me are:
-Taking a brisk walk outside mid-day (or when I have time). This is refreshing and energizing.
-Eating well. I find when I eat random stuff and not really pay attention to what I consume during the day I feel more tired.
-Treat myself in some way. Basically, I bribe myself with something. Like dark chocolate. Or an episode of Alias (which we've just discovered on DVD:) if I can get through a bunch of stuff.
