I usually spend about $10-15 but if BEV MOR is having a buy one and get the second bottle for 5 cents, I will splurge.
$10. But if I had my druthers -- or, at least, a boatload of money -- there's a fabulous $80 wine that I would seriously have with every dinner if I could afford it...
$10-15 everyday wines, although for awhile we wre reaching up into $25-30. We don't have the willpower to save for a special occasion! I noticed a couple months last fall we were spending $300-$400/ month on wine! That's too much for us...haha. Maybe one day! New Zealand Suvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir are our current faves.
I don't really drink wine (although I have been known to spend a bit on a case of beer :D). We do buy them as gifts from time to time though and will generally spend about $10-$20. We tend to go to Trader Joe's (and sometimes World Market) for the wine that we buy, they have unique wines and are very reasonably priced.
$15 - $20. Splurge on $30 - $40.
Favorites are South African lately and lean toward full bodied reds. I have found that whites are are better at lower prices than reds and have picked up $10 bottles and been very surprised. But, going low on reds has left me with wines that have a bite and pucker.
$10.

If it is just hubby and I having wine with takeout at home, we will spend $15-18. Since it is our weekly treat.
If we are having a ton of people over for a party we will buy a case of something similar to YellowTail.
we average around $10. Special occasions or company warrant $30-40. Although there are a few Trader Joe's brands that we like that go as low as $5. I really don't see that much difference until you get into the higher range, so I don't usually bother with a $20 bottle, it's likely to taste like a $10 bottle anyway.
for myself 9.99 for others as a gift up to 30.00.
I will start by saying that while I'm a firm believer that you can enjoy a good bottle of wine without breaking the bank, go too low and - ugh. I have to say I'm a fan of moderately priced wines like Yellow Tail. It's nice to splurge on a higher-priced bottle every now and then, but I don't necessarily always love the result. But maybe that's because I'm not so talented at picking them out??
