If your candidate didn't get the nomination, would you still vote? And would you support your party's candidate, or would you vote for the opposition instead?”

  • I'm a Democrat, and regarding the current presidential election, yes, I am comfortable voting for either. I don't think there's ever been a time when I was so against my party's nominee and/or agreed to such an extent with the Republican nominee that I abstained from voting, or crossed party lines. That's not to say that would never happen for me. Let's see...hmm...this would probably never happen, but hypothetically speaking: if the dem nominee were, for example, Zell Miller, and the rep nominee were, let's say, Michael Bloomberg, I'd probably vote for Bloomberg, given that choice.

I do not understand those that (apparently) are saying if their candidate didn't win the nomination then they wouldn't vote or would vote for the opposition. I don't know anyone who thinks this, but since we keep hearing about it, I assume that there are those out there.
I know so many people who don't vote and won't vote, I just get giddy when I happen upon people to talk to about this.
    Thanks ladies!
