At my sons daycare on Friday, they hand-made me a card out of colored foam and put a picture they had taken of him on the front of the card. When I opened it up, there was a footprint inside! It was adorable. They also made a small jewelry box in a heart shape that was paitned and written on (with kid writing) saying "I love you Mommy". I know that he's too young to make all of this himself but it was such a sweet thing! I know he would have made it himself if he could have!

my husband really tried! he got up, took care of our son while i slept in a bit, then woke me up because he made breakfast! i have been so sleep deprived it took me a minute to figure out what was going on- went in and had breakfast with them and cute little gifts including a singing card! He then sent me back off to bed! HAPPINESS! i slept for 2 more hours, then got up and dressed and in the afternoon we went to my aunt's for family fun with cousins :) great day all around!

My Mother's Day highlight was when my 3 year old told me my hair looked pretty. Told me to turn around to see it, then said, "I like yo hair, mama, puttie" That little phrase lit up my face and filled my heart, the hair my son thought was pretty was pulled up in a messy bun, tight enough to keep my hair out of my face, but loose enough to welcome wispy fly aways with the breeze.
The weather was absolutely gorgeous in CT today, and that made me very, very happy! A great Mother's Day gift from Mother Nature!
I'll go first: My husband made this huge posted with our daughter, decorated with photos of her feet and stickers. I always say I am going to miss her little naked feet when she grows up, so this made sure I didn't. We all went out for breakfast and just hung out together, then had our extended family over for dinner, which was exhausting, but wonderful at the same time. (Not without some inlaw drama, but will have to post re that separately:)
